Victory for Townsend Farm

Residents of Townsend Farm and surrounding area recently braved stormy conditions to protest the lack of action on the dangerous junction with Birmingham Road.

The Conservative Controlled County Council had refused to consider requests to extend double yellow lines.

However, following the protest it has been confirmed that officers will look again at the issue.

Cllr Rob Hunter who organised the protest said: "What a relief, I'd like to say a big thanks to all those who helped rally support on this important issue."

Josh Robinson who also attended said: "It shouldn't have been this hard to get residents' views taken seriously but I am delighted we are finally seeing some positive action. We must act before something terrible happens at this very dangerous junction".
