United in Dismay

"United in Dismay" were the words used by Boris and Jo Johnson in reaction to Mrs.May's Brexit deal. Without urgent intervention from the opposition , those three words may well summarise the mood of the country in March 2019. Both Leave and Remain voters are feeling badly let down at the Brexit fudge deal which diminishes our control, our rights and our economic prosperity.

Jo Johnson has resigned his role as cabinet minister to call for a People's Vote, in the light of what we know about the consequences of Brexit. "Inflicting such serious political and economic harm on the country will leave an indelible impression of incompetence in the minds of the public." We applaud Johnson's principled stance.

Bromsgrove Lib Dems will be joining the cross-party campaign group Worcestershire for Europe on Saturday 1st December to spread the message that we, the people must have the Final Say on this constitutional change that will have repercussions for decades. We can and we should Exit from Brexit!
