Six to Fix on May 6th!

2 May 2021

There are many reasons to cast your vote for the Liberal Democrats on May 6th. Here are just six of them:

6 to fix

1. Tackle Chronic Congestion

With over 1,800 new homes set to be built on the outskirts of our town centre we need better infrastructure to tackle congestion. Lib Dems have been fighting for a Western Relief Road consistently and will continue to do so.

2. Better Active Travel

To tackle the Climate Emergency and improve public health we need better and safer cycling routes that are well thought through.

3. Recycling Facilities

DEFRA data shows that four out of five of the top councils in the country for recycling are led by Lib Dems. 41% of household waste in Bromsgrove was sent for recycling, which is less than the national average and the average for the West Midlands.

4. Potholes

Lib Dem councillors will be active in our area, spotting and reporting potholes and other local issues. Lib Dem candidates have already got many potholes fixed outside of election time.

5. Local Action on Climate Change

Lib Dems led the fight on climate change on Bromsgrove District Council by declaring a Climate Emergency and setting up a cross-party working group to improve our environment. Meanwhile the Conservatives on Worcestershire County Council blocked a Climate Emergency declaration, but the Lib Dems will take the issue seriously.

6. Public Transport

Lib Dems will campaign for a better public transport and a more integrated public transport system. Councillors and campaigners from the Lib Dems will protect vital bus routes, having helped save the 202 bus service previously from being axed.

It's a clear choice on May 6th. More of the same with the Conservatives, or a better Bromsgrove with the Liberal Democrats.
