Local residents turned out en mass to a recent meeting to hear about planned upgrades to the A38. Many were not convinced the plans are right for our area.

A number of residents are unhappy about plans to remove options to turn off the A38 onto School Lane and many are not convinced an extra southbound lane will help those trying to get off their drives.

Chair of Bromsgrove Lib Dems Josh Robinson has recently written to the Highways Department on behalf of residents to demand a rethink. He said: "These plans are all about reducing congestion on the slip road to the M42 when they should be making life easier for residents in Lickey End. Cllr Rob Hunter said: "The only way to improve conditions for people living in Lickey End is by reducing the speed limit and forcing through traffic so slow down!".
