Meet our new leadership team

The Liberal Democrats have a new leadership team, with Sir Vince Cable becoming the new Leader and Jo Swinson becoming the new Deputy Leader.

A spokesperson for the Bromsgrove Liberal Democrats said, 'We would like to put on record our thanks to Tim Farron for all his hard work, helping to re-build our party and helping ensure it stays relevant. With our record membership, all enthused by our position fighting a hard Brexit, Tim has left our party in a better shape.'

Sir Vince does not plan to be a caretaker leader and has ambitious plans for the party, including continuing to grow the party to make it bigger than the Conservatives, fighting for people to have the say on Brexit, and putting pressure on the Government to properly fund public services.

With Jo Swinson as Deputy; who helped introduce better employment rights whilst in Government, the party now has two big hitters who promise to fight and make the Lib Dem Voice heard loud and clear in an increasingly divided political environment.
