Lib Dems Become Largest Opposition Party to the Conservatives

The Liberal Democrats are now the largest opposition party in Worcestershire and have made significant progress in Bromsgrove with the party electing their first ever county councillor in the district.

Liberal Democrat Joshua Robinson gained the Bromsgrove Central seat from the Conservatives with 1,333 votes.

The Bromsgrove Lib Dems also made significant progress in the district with Samuel Evans securing nearly 26% of the vote in the Bromsgrove East division and finishing second behind the Conservatives. Sam increased the Lib Dem vote by nearly 8% and cut the Conservatives' majority.

Dr David Nicholl also strengthened the party in Bromsgrove securing 514 votes in Bromsgrove South, an increase of 391 votes since the seat was up for election at the 2017 County Council elections.
