Essay Competiton Open!
Bromsgrove Liberal Democrats are currently running an essay competition for all 16 to 25 year-olds living, studying or working in Worcestershire.
The theme for this year's essay (which we will hope to be the first of many) is:
'Fairness must lie at the heart of good government'
The essay has a word limit of 2000 words and should consider the truth (or otherwise) of the statement. Attention will be paid to spelling and grammar but the content will be the judges' main concern. Any propositions should be well illustrated by examples of good government or its negative.
The first prize for this essay competition is £50 and a copy of the book 'Them and Us' by Will Hutton, the columnist from of The Guardian and the Observer and now is master of Hertford College, Oxford. One runner up will also receive a copy of the book.
Entries must be submitted via our website libdemsbromsgrove.org.uk/essay-submission and the deadline for all essays is 18:00 on Sunday 15th April.
Prize winners will be notified by the 15th May.
For detailed rules & terms, please see our submission page.
GOOD LUCK!
