Local residents have until 19th November to make their voices heard. As part of a review of the Bromsgrove District Plan, the council is consulting over the methodology that will be used to determine which sites are to be released from Bromsgrove's Green Belt.
As part of the plan Bromsgrove will have to find land to deliver up to 7,700 new hones by 2046. Bromsgrove Lib Dems are urging local residents to get involved with the process now so that they can influence which sites are chosen to be released from Green Belt restrictions. Local campaigner Rob Hunter said: "For my day job I work in housing because I want to ensure everyone can afford a decent place to live. "I am not against new homes, in fact I live right next to a brand new estate. "The point is that for too long Bromsgrove has been forced to take a disproportionate number of homes, without sufficient investment in new infrastructure. We must not allow our market town to be engulfed in the Birmingham Conurbation.
